The tradition of cutting your own Christmas tree is a magical adventure that symbolizes the spirit of the season. We invite you to ride out to our fields to choose and cut your own Christmas tree. We have everything you need to cut your tree and get it home. Don’t want to cut your own? Choose from our varieties of pre-cut trees. Can you smell the wonderful aroma now?

Christmas Festivities
Christmas is in the air! Music, hot chocolate, and cider bring back wonderful memories of Christmas-past. Enjoy local school choirs performing holiday carols. Warm up with a hot drink and a festive cookie in our Christmas concessions. Find a unique ornament or holiday treasure in our Old-Barn Christmas Shop. Have a wreath custom-decorated while you are cutting your tree or shopping.

Santa
We offer visits from Santa on select weekend hours, at no charge. The delightful backdrop of flocked trees and Santa’s old sleigh offers the perfect opportunity for the children to deliver their wishes to Santa while you capture the moment. Donations to Santa’s reindeer food fund are always appreciated.

Dinner Theater
Prairie Pines Playhouse has been home to an annual holiday dinner theater experience, 5 nights a week, since 2004. You can expect an all-inclusive evening designed for your complete entertainment. A high energy, hilarious mystery theater production is played between our delicious 3 or 4-course dinner.

Wagon Rides & Train Rides
Tractor-drawn hay-racks will take our tree customers to the fields to choose a tree. The horse drawn wagon ride will be available on select weekend hours. Tractor-drawn hay-racks are always available.
Also, on select weekends, boys and girls can ride our children’s train pulled by a small tractor. We operate the train on select weekend hours, at no charge.

Photography
The beautiful location and holiday décor at Prairie Pines offer a wonderful backdrop for photos.
We have created some fun backdrops for group photos, family photos and Santa photos, and have a professional camera set up for these special photos. It is free to get a photo taken and optional to get your photos printed or downloaded.
NOTE TO PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS: All professional photo sessions are scheduled here. Unless you have scheduled a paid photography session with us, tripods, lighting equipment, and photography sessions are not allowed.
