Prairie Pines began as a Christmas
tree farm, but has evolved into much more than that
over a period of 33 years. In 1983 the log barn was
added to the farm. It is a rustic, charming, cozy facility
originally built to house our shop at Christmas season.
Later, with the addition of the garden and lily pond
behind it, it became the perfect setting for small weddings,
anniversaries, receptions, seminars, and quiet retreats.
The large Grande Garden with the stone bridge was added
in 2003. With waterfalls, ponds and an amphitheater,
this created the ideal location for larger outdoor weddings
and receptions, and other outdoor events.
We also offer activities for you and your family
year-round. In June and July, Chamber
Music at the Barn offers 15 classical music concerts
as well as 3 separate music camps. The family friendly
Pumpkin
Days begins the first weekend in October and continues
each weekend throughout the month. Are you ready for
a scare? The
Field of Screams has quickly become one of our
most thrilling events and one of the largest haunted
attractions in the state. And of course, we open for
tree cutting the Friday after Thanksgiving. You don’t
want to miss Santa’s big entrance, our beautifully
decorated shop, and our selection of premium trees.
Finally, our newest addition, and a quickly growing
tradition, is our Christmas
Dinner Theatre – always a great time.
Our exclusive new housing addition, Fiddler’s
Cove, has 52 gorgeous lots, most of which adjoin
a large lake or unique forest with its own waterfall
and trout stream. Be sure to check out the latest
on this new development.
